We just got back from a great weekend in Maupin, Oregon at the Whitewater Wrestling Camp. Kids were able to get 6-8 matches on top of five other great technique sessions. Despite the great wrestling in the gym, the highlight might have been battling several teams on the river, or trying to pull me into the water. Some learned, if you mess with the bull you get the horns.
Next week we will be taking a group to Coeur D'Alene, Idaho for some scrimmages along the way, and to visit Silverwood Amusement Park. We have about 16 wrestlers signed up to go so far. We are leaving July 5th and we will return on July 8th. This is a different date than the last published date. We did this because of some facility issues in our district that limited what we can do as a team. I called all of the participating kids so hopefully they passed on the word.
