Three Redmond Panther wrestlers competed at the Western States Greco and Freestyle duals in Pocatello, Idaho this past weekend Friday, June 18th, and Saturday, June 19th. Junior Ryan Haney, Sophomore Brandon Short, and graduate Sean Soliz competed for Team Oregon. The A squad for Oregon, Oregon White, featured Haney and Soliz and were the Freestyle Tournament Champions and 3rd in the Greco tournament. Brandon went 8-2 on the weekend competing for the Oregon Red team. Highlights of the weekend were Haney avenging a Greco loss in the Freestyle tournament with a last second score to win the match versus Team Arizona, and Sean Soliz taking top ranked Kyle Deberry to the third round in a very close match.
