Panthers Battle at Northwest Regionals

Battleground, WA—Five Panther wrestlers made the trek to Battleground High School in Washington to take on some of the West Coast’s toughest competition.  The Northwest Regional tournament is a qualifier for the National tournament in Fargo, North Dakota this summer.  Ryan Haney and Colby Fultz both placed 4^th in Freestyle, narrowly missing an automatic berth at nationals.  Also  a match away from placing was Sean Soliz who competed in a bracket that had 14 state placers out of 16 entrants.  Freshmen Blaine Livingston and Ty George both competed well and showed improvement in their first Regional level competition.  Next up for the Olympic Development program is the High Desert Freestyle Duals April 10^th and then the following two weekends are the Greco State tournament at Oregon City High School and finally the Freestyle State Championships at Oregon State University.
